2012 was yet another challenging year prompted by the financial crisis in 2008. The developed economies and Greece have been severely influenced by the negative economic environment and the increase of unemployment, social unrest and increasing societal concerns.
TITAN has remained focused on its strategy fostering sustainability, balancing short with long-term impacts and opportunities and investing in efforts leading to continuous improvement.
In addition to the focus on countries at risk (Greece and Egypt), key CSR priorities included:
- Empowering our people
- Integrating and continuing to upgrade infrastructure, technology and systems of the newly acquired cement plant in Kosovo
- Continuing and expanding collaborative actions
- Promoting win-win solutions for business and society
