Safety at home - TITAN Training program for schools

REACHING OUT AND ADDING VALUE

One of the examples of how TITAN participates in and gives back to the communities we serve, is the launch of the Safety at Home Training Program for students and their families, in areas where our company is present and where we operate cement plants, ready-mix concrete plants, and quarries.

The program is organized in partnership with management from local schools and local municipal authorities. The TITAN Regional Safety Department developed it and presentations are carried out by the company’s safety specialists as well as engineers within the region.

The program focuses on the risks associated with safety at home. It aims to reach children and their families and increase public awareness about the prevention of childhood incidents and injuries. Participants are from elementary and high schools. The Safety at Home Training Program components includes a 90-minute presentation, with safety videos and animation. At the end of every training session each participant receives TITAN’s Safety at Home manual. The training session takes place on school premises and encourages interactive child participation. Major issues covered include fall prevention, burn prevention, fire prevention and poison prevention.
