  • TITAN’s definition of locally-based supplier: Providers of materials, products, and services that are based in the same geographic market as the reporting organization (i.e., no trans-national payments to the supplier are made). The geographic definition of ‘local’ may vary because, in some circumstances, cities, regions within a country, and even small countries could be reasonably viewed as ‘local’ (GRI). The definition of “local” within our data collection system was provided in this form for the collection of 2013 data. Consequently, such data are not available yet. However, we can estimate that in respect to the proportion of global to local suppliers is at a minimum of 15% for Southeastern Europe, while for the U.S. is zero.
EC7 - Procedures for local hiring and proportion of senior management hired from the local community at locations of significant operation.
  • All senior managers are hired from local community. Expatriates support the integration of new plants or acquisitions into the Group. In 2012 only 2 senior managers were expatriates.
