Zlatna Panega participated in the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations – 2012, with its best practices related to ageing. Management policy is committed to creating and maintaining suitable work conditions for older employees. Measures are taken to set up good working places according to the requirements for safe and comfortable labor. According to data near the end of 2012, more than 10% of plant employees are above 55 years old. The valuable experiences of these seasoned employees, their precision and excellent decision making are all critical factors in Zlatna Panega’s success. To ensure the health of these workers, lectures are conducted about topics such as protection against osteoporosis, cardiovascular health, protection for eyesight and hearing, and health tips for working in extreme temperatures. A corporate risk assessment procedure includes risk assessment for the working places of older employees. Those who use video display have their own ergonomically designed working places. As a result Zlatna Panega did not have any work related incidents with older employees.

Zlatna Panega was awarded for creating and maintaining suitable and healthy working conditions for older employees as well as for adapting work places to the needs of the older employees aiming to provide more and healthier working years for them.

At the national conference, held on 4 December 2012, the Minister of Labor and Social Policy presented the Certificate of the company to the company representative.
