Group Performance

Annual Report 2012

Training and investing in the continuous development of our employees remains a high priority for the TITAN Group. Aiming at life-long learning and enhancement of professional skills and competencies that are necessary to anticipate present and future challenges, vocational training and human resources development continued in 2012.

Compared to 2011 the total number of training man-hours increased from 90,658 to 122,243, an overall increase of 34%. New programs launched in 2011, like the “C-Mentors”, the “Step program”  and the “Stakeholder Engagement Development and Training Program” have proven successful, and therefore continued and expanded.

Considering the quality of leadership as a key factor in the success of the Group, significant resources are also committed to training and developing high-potential employees throughout the organization to meet the leadership challenges of performance and growth. All TITAN operations and Business Units run specialized programs in conjunction with the Group Human Resources department. People Development Reviews related to performance appraisals and succession planning are widely used to ensure there is a continuous availability of leadership talent to meet the Group's strategic objectives. In 2012, new coaching and mentoring programs were introduced and refined to encourage sharing of know-how and the multiplication of experiences through different functions and operations.
