2012 marks the first year of reporting on the TITAN Group’s operations in Kosovo, SharrCem, to reflect the change in ownership.
Drawing inspiration from the Group’s CSR heritage and Code of Conduct, SharrCemworks diligently on the implementation of internal and external projects and processes to improve its corporate responsibility and social footprint.
In this regard, most of the company’s efforts are directed towards environmental protection, the creation of a safety culture and a healthier society. Using these as pillars for our CSR policy, SharrCem is proud that it has completed numerous projects that show its commitment towards continuous CSR engagement.
Accordingly, the key priorities as identified by the local CSR Committee included the full integration of TITAN standards, policies and practices in SharrCem through engagement with all key stakeholders and empowering managers and employees with relevant skills, competencies and know-how.
To meet this task, the CSR Committee appointed a Task Force consisting of six members of the CSR Committee. The Task Force reports directly to the CSR Committee that reviews and approves the actions of the CSR Task Force at least once quarterly.
A self-assessment that included an employee opinion survey was conducted so as to ensure that the strategy and the priorities defined by the CSR Committee are focused on the most material issues for the business and stakeholders.
