Safety at school
REACHING OUT AND ADDING VALUE
Among ZlatnaPanega’sinitiatives in 2012 was training related to Health and Safety for elementary school children. The Health and Safety department prepared a short film entitled “Safety at school” which was presented to 120 students from five schools in the surrounding community. At the end of each presentation, children were given a learning game quiz as well as materials regarding safety to take home. Due to the interactive format, there was a high level of interest from participating children with many students asking questions regarding health and safety and receiving relevant answers.
An additional initiative was taken with the Yablanica students in the elementary schools – a contest for pictures on Health and Safety. Drawing materials were distributed to all children and they were given the opportunity to draw their pictures in their art classes in school. The best pictures will be rewarded.
