TITAN continues to improve CSR Reporting
TITAN once again ranked first – for the fifth year in succession - in the annual evaluation of Greek Corporate Social Responsibility Reports carried out by the University of the Aegean. The evaluation is made using the guidelines laid down by the international Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
This year’s evaluation placed TITAN sixteen points higher than last year for meeting GRI indicators, because it was based on the specifications of the revised GRI-G3.1 standard, both in terms of compliance with the relevant indicators, and degree of adherence to the relevant CSR principles and incorporation of CSR strategy.
The findings of the evaluation - conducted by the Business Environment Policy and Management Workshop of the University of the Aegean’s Environment Department – were presented at the CSR Reporting Forum 2012 on 18 December.
The Forum heard details of the TITAN Group’s activities in implementing participatory initiatives on the European level to promote the broadest possible dissemination and use of information and results relating to environmental and social objectives, as well as business performance.
TITAN Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Report for 2011, which secured first place in the evaluation, was prepared using not only the revised GRI-G3.1 standard, but also the criteria laid down in the U.N. Global Compact for ‘‘advanced-level’’ progress reports and CSR reports. This was the ninth annual CSR and Sustainable Development Report prepared by the Group in line with international standards. Every year since 2006 its contents have been verified in comprehensive audits by independent agencies.
