REACHING OUT AND ADDING VALUE

The TITAN Group Health and Safety Department, in collaboration with the Health and Safety Department of the Greece Region organized a 40-hour training to members of the Board of European Students of Technology (BEST), focusing on basics of OHS, such as OHS vision and policy, health and safety management systems applied in the TITAN Group, the role and responsibilities of engineers for health and safety, managing high risk tasks, risk assessments and more. The 40 hours are split into three sessions, of eight hours, 16 hours and 16 hours respectively. During the training, engineering school students get the opportunity to perform field visits to the plant in order to combine theoretical knowledge with the real applied technology of heavy industry.  Although the program focuses on sharing TITAN’s health and safety knowledge – culture to future engineers, environmental as well as process and technical issues are also presented to participants.
